2024 Marmomac Stone Fair
The 58th, 2024 Marmomac Stone Fair in Verona is expected to feature an exhibitor area of 76,000 square meters, providing ample space for showcasing and networking. Over 1,500 exhibitors from around the world will present a full range of products and services, from stone extraction and processing to machinery and design applications. The fair is anticipated to attract more than 50,000 professional visitors, with international attendees making up over 66% of the total.
Highlights of the 2024 Marmomac Stone Fair
1. Plus Theater: Cultural, Commercial, and Training Hub
Located in Hall 10 of MARMOMAC, the Plus Theater will feature a series of lectures, presentations, and workshops focused on natural stone. It serves as a platform for industry professionals to exchange ideas and offers an in-depth look at the entire production cycle of natural stone, from extraction to final product and its applications. The theater will also host a VIP lounge, restaurant, wine bar, and six cultural exhibitions, providing a relaxed and enjoyable environment for networking.
2. Stone Industry Education Programs
MARMOMAC ACADEMY offers educational programs aimed at architects seeking training in the innovative applications of natural stone in architecture, construction, and industrial design. These courses focus not only on theoretical knowledge but also on practical skills, enabling participants to apply what they have learned in real-world projects. Attendees can earn training credits, which are crucial for the professional development of industry experts. This educational approach enhances the professional level of participants and continually brings innovation to the stone industry.
3. Themed Design Pavilion in Hall 1
Hall 1, curated by Elle Decor Italia, will showcase innovative achievements, creative projects, and cutting-edge solutions in object design and interior environments. Elle Decor Italia is a magazine dedicated to furniture and interior design, featuring interviews with top designers, highlights of architecture and interior design, and the internationalization of home and design furniture.
A review of 2023 Marmomac
The 57th Marmomac, an international exhibition dedicated to the natural stone supply chain, reaffirmed its status as a major global center for the Italian stone market and processing technology.
The event attracted a large audience, with over 51,000 attendees over the four days, marking a 10% increase compared to 2022. The number of international buyers rose by 15%, representing 138 different countries. International visitors made up a significant 66% of the total attendance, with a 15% absolute increase. Notably, there was strong growth from the United States, Canada, and Brazil, with the U.S. market showing a robust 29% increase. China made a strong return, and European countries, particularly Germany, Spain, and France, were also actively involved.
Among the 1,507 exhibitors, 68.5% were international companies from 54 different countries.
The event focused on design, product culture, and professional training, featuring two dedicated pavilions: The Plus Theater and A Matter of Stone, curated by Elle Decor. These pavilions aimed to promote the use of marble in luxury and interior design to architects and designers.
